Postnatal Support From a Private Midwife

Caring for your newborn can be quite overwhelming and many mothers lack confidence in what they are doing. Often NHS midwives and health visitors don't have the time to go trough your concerns and support you to feel confident in your new role as a mother. I can support you to feel confident and can help you with troubleshooting any issues you and your baby are facing. This includings everything from the practicalities of caring for a newborn (feeding/swaddling/settling/routines) to troubleshooting common issues (colic/reflux/milk allergies/unsettled babies/tongue tie).

For many women breastfeeding is a real and often unexpected challenge. Both mum and baby are learning a new skill and sometimes that learning process needs a helping hand. I have 10 years experience in helping women successfully breastfeed, I am 'Baby Friendly Initiative' trained, have experience with tongue tie. I also specialise in mixed feeding and can support you on how and when to introduce a bottle (if you want to). I offer an in home service in Leamington Spa and the surrounding areas. 

The transition to parenthood can be an extremely challenging and highly emotional time. It is often a lot harder than expected. With a degree in Psychology, and as a practicing midwife and a mother, I can help support you through that transition. It may be that you want to talk through your birth experience, discuss any concerns about how you are feeling or seek practical advice about the challenges of motherhood; I offer a non-judgemental ear and practical advice. This can be in person (Leamington Spa and surrounding areas) or over the phone support.
