I am a midwife and a mother of 3 boys aged 7, 5 and 6 months old. I have been a practising midwife for 10 years and now work as the Lead Research Midwife for my trust alongside running The Calm Baby Coach. It was actually my experience of being a first-time mum that inspired me to start The Calm Baby Coach. To say I struggled with the transition to motherhood is an understatement, I was in complete turmoil for the first two months after my first son was born. He had so many problems with his sleep, feeding and tummy issues and I felt lost and overwhelmed. Whilst the NHS midwives and health visitors were lovely and supportive, their time was always limited and they didn't have specialist knowledge in areas such as sleep, reflux, colic and tongue tie. Over the last few years I have dedicated a huge amount of time to broadening my knowledge to be able to support parents who don't know where to turn. The Calm Baby Coach aims to to give parents tailored, practical and emotional support within all areas of postnatal care and infant wellbeing, including baby sleep, troubleshooting (colic/reflux/allergies etc.) feeding, routines and more.
